Origin Point

The North Shore trail begins at Split Rock Lighthouse (46.6961° N, 92.2967° W) and terminates at Gunflint Trail (48.3447° N, 93.0114° W). This guide maps fourteen waypoints along that arc, each corresponding to a weekly checkpoint in the colony's sensor calibration sequence. Unlike the calculator monoculture dominating the galaxy, this artifact is a map — thick with species names, soil chemistry, and elevation thresholds.

Notes: Terminal waypoint. Tamarack needles shed annually at −12°C; this temperature threshold triggers the colony's emergency dormancy protocol. Bigelow's Sedge forms tussocks 0.6m tall; tussock density defines the habitat's maximum crew occupancy per hectare.

Calibration Sequence

The 14-week sequence is not a linear march. It is a recursive spiral: each waypoint re-measures the previous seven, applying corrections derived from the granite's thermal conductivity and the flora's phenological stage.
